Spotlight on the Kids with Cancer Society: Strength in Every Step
The Kids with Cancer Society supports children in Alberta diagnosed with cancer by offering meaningful programs that ease the emotional, financial, and practical burdens families face. From diagnosis through survivorship, their services are built to help families cope, stay strong, and find moments of relief and joy throughout a difficult journey.
Family-Focused Support: Their programs provide essential tools to reduce the stress and disruption cancer brings to daily life, offering help in areas such as emotional wellness, education, accommodations, and financial relief.
Therapeutic & Recreational Programs: They create opportunities for children and families to connect, heal, and recharge through supportive experiences tailored to their needs.
Hospital Support & Enhancements: The Society funds child life activities, professional development, teen room upgrades, and educational tools that complement basic hospital care.
Cancer Research & Innovation: The Society helps fund initiatives that improve outcomes and wellbeing for children with cancer, including clinical trials, general research funding, and the Muriel and Ada Hole Kids with Cancer Society Chair in Pediatric Oncology.
