This January, Mosaic Home Services is proud to partner with the Ukrainian Canadian Social Services (UCSS) in Edmonton for our monthly Charity Day. Established in 1977, UCSS has become a cornerstone of support for Ukrainian newcomers, especially those affected by the current conflict. Their comprehensive range of services includes:
- Basic Aid: UCSS provides grocery certificates and clothing referrals to help meet the fundamental needs of the poor and needy.
- Immigrant Support: The organization assists new immigrants with advice, agency referrals, ESL classes, and housing, ensuring a smoother transition into Canadian life.
- Counseling and Legal Assistance: UCSS connects individuals to Ukrainian-speaking professionals, including counselors and lawyers, for personalized support.
- Translation Services: They offer essential translation services for documents critical to the integration process, such as certificates and licenses.
- Children’s Support: The organization actively supports children through electronic device distribution, children’s camps, and other programs.
- Community Integration: UCSS plays a pivotal role in integrating newcomers into the community, providing vital information on immigration and government procedures.
